Tigers place shortstop Javier Baez on injured list, recall infielder from Toledo

DETROIT -- The Detroit Tigers have placed struggling shortstop Javier Baez on the 10-day injured list with lumbar spine inflammation. Infielder Ryan Kreidler was recalled from Triple-A Toledo and will start Tuesday’s series opener against the Washington Nationals.
