Superintendent Martirano stands firm on school start time changes despite widespread criticism in Howard County

Despite parents, teachers, students, and now Howard County’s School Board all pushing back against a shift to school start times, Superintendent Dr. Michael Martirano is not shifting his stance on the issue.
Last week, Martirano introduced schedule changes as a solution to the school system’s ongoing bus struggles. However, during a special board meeting Monday night, the entire School Board took turns condemning the changes.
