Scientists are closer to a 'cure' for Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s using old coffee grounds as treatments.
The waste from a cup of coffee researchers say contains 'Caffeic-Acid Carbon Quantum Dots' which have been found to be effective in treating neurodegenerative disorders. They also provided protection against the effects of Parkinson's in laboratory experiments when the condition was caused by paraquat, US researchers have found.
