Expert discusses sharks in the Gulf after attacks in Florida

There are an array of shark species in the Gulf of Mexico. Most are small, but Dr. Sean Powers explained there has been an increase in shark population due to repopulation efforts, specifically larger species. Powers is the director of the Stokes School of Marine and Environmental Sciences at the University of South Alabama. Stokes is also a senior marine scientist at the Dauphin Island Sea Lab.
