Emergency repairs shut down I-10 East over Calcasieu River Bridge

If you're planning to travel on Interstate 10 East toward Lake Charles in the next few hours, you'll want to plan an alternate route. The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development has announced both lanes of Interstate 10 Eastbound over the Calcasieu River Bridge (MP 28.7) are closed, effective immediately, for emergency repairs to an expansion joint.
