Chief surgeon advocates for IBS awareness
It's estimated that 10 to 15% of the world population is living with Irritable Bowel Syndrome, or IBS.
"It often takes up to seven years for patients to get diagnosed because people think it's just a bellyache," said Dr. Melissa Murphy, the Chief of Surgery at Kent Hospital, who is on a mission to raise awareness about IBS.
